Purpose of the Job
Responsible for overall Financial, Accounting and Taxation matters of the organization and group companies.
Key Performance Areas
- To manage the Project Finance and accounts.
- To prepare, manage and supervise Project accounting and processing of data in SAP mainly relating to Cash, Bank, Vendors, Customers, Fixed Assets etc.
- Preparing Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly closing of books of accounts and MIS reports, Cash Flow projections and reporting requirements to Corporate Office in India and Other stakeholders.
- To manage and interact with Bankers for all banking transactions.
- To manage all stakeholder accounting and other receipts.
- To ensure accounting policies and processes are strictly laid out and implemented.
- To prepare and review Budgets and Variance Analysis.
- To ensure Tax, and other regulatory and statutory payments, filing and compliances are met.
- To ensure management reporting and any other task as may be required.
- To manage the vendor and customer reconciliation.
- Providing information to Internal and Statutory Auditors and to ensure Audits are conducted in a smooth way.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Finance & Accounting with CA / ICWAI/ CMA.
- Min 10-15 years’ experience in the Project Management/Mining / Power industry.
- SAP Accounting (+5 years practical SAP user)
- Exposure to Filing monthly Returns, VAT, Income Tax, etc.
Required Competences
- An ability to analyze and evaluate analytical data, figures and to prepare concise reports,
- An ability to maintain current knowledge of developments/practices and techniques related to Finance and Accounting particularly legislation changes and developments,
- An understanding of the mining sector (desirable),
- An ability to work unsupervised,
- Applicable legislative and regulatory framework and
- Governance and accountability / Code of Ethics.
